The Excel files in the zipped file in this section contain the manual coding of the articles used for the audit of the GPR index described in the paper, Table A.3:  Validation of GPR Index.

For instance, in the excel file
"Audit #1 GPRH 3 newspaper random sample of 635 --- historical",
each row contains one of 635 articles categorized as belonging to the GPR index.
The column named "code" reports the -1, 0, 1 coding of the articles. Codes are:
-1 : easing geopolitical risk
0 : no geopolitical risk
1 : increasing geopolitical risk
